The intention of all energy techniques is that by harmonising your energy system you are putting your body in the best possible state to function well and cope with stress.
Within our bodies we have seven main energy centres which allow our energy body to take nourishment from the world around us and to connect with the people we are with. What happens during a Reiki session?
The session lasts an hour and will begin with a consultation, which enables the therapist to make sure that Reiki is the right therapy for you. Then you will lie on a treatment couch. You will remain fully clothed, only removing shoes, throughout the session.
Reiki is a gentle therapy where the therapist uses her hands to rebalance energies. She starts at the head and works down the body. She may work without touching or she may use a gentle touch. This is reassuring and induces deeper relaxation.
