Aromatherapy is the use of the organic essences of aromatic plants for the healing and the maintenance of vitality. Essential oils are extracted from a variety of plants, each one having its own unique healing properties and fragrance. These oils in their natural state have been found to possess powerful therapeutic qualities which can address physical and psychological conditions. By blending the essential oils in carrier oil the blend is gently massaged over the skin. They work by the absorption of miniature quantities of oil through the skin.

An aromatherapy massage is generally a gentle massage with light movements and little pressure, however all massage treatments are adaptable to meet the needs and expectations of the client.
Prior to your aromatherapy the therapist will carry out a full consultation which enables them to make sure that aromatherapy is right for you and that there are no contraindications to you receiving the treatment. For the massage you will be required to remove some items of clothing and you will lay on the treatment couch. During your massage all areas of the body remain covered except the area being worked on. Treatment times will vary depending on what part of the body is booked for the massage.
During your consultation the therapist will ask about your life style and any medical conditions. With this information the therapist can then make up a blend of oils that will address your own physical and psychological requirements and needs.
Treatments are by appointments only.
